Great product, , installs easily and is very sturdy. This truck bed step helps me with my old knees

Hi. I just wanted to let you know I think this product is great. And I’m not sure if you guys care or not, but I wanted to let you know your product works with a bed that has a Decked drawer system installed. The drawers clear it great and the tailgate has plenty of room to close. Again, this product is great.

Our trip went great and the flip step was a huge success. My wife and I each used it probably a hundred times accessing the canopy camper. Even though I'm tall, my knees are getting older. My wife is much shorter in stature so we both found that using a collapsible step stool on the ground made it easier for both of us in combination with the flip step. Our dog enjoyed using it without issue. We have nothing to add for improvements or modifications.

Good afternoon. I promised you I would give you feedback after I installed the step and I finally had time to do it this morning. The written instructions were complete and immensely helpful and installation time was quick and uneventful. It's a wonderful bonus that you include the drill bits and punch and Allen wrench. I took a little longer than average because I was working with the tailgate carpet portion of a Bed Rug carpet kit in my pickup bed. First thing I did was drop the retaining clip into the gravel and spent 20 minutes finding it! Fortunately for me history has taught me to keep a big magnet handy!
Time will tell more about the usage but I think you knocked it out of the park with features like the telescoping frame that allows the step to sit into the retainer clips so that it doesn't rattle when it's put away, the strategically placed magnet on the handle to keep it in place, the pin and retainer clip which functions much better than a bolt and a nut, and a complete hardware set with tools.
The only two suggestions I have at this point would be to include a second retainer clip for those tired clumsy individuals such as myself, and delete the picture of the riv-nut installation tool from the instructions. I spent 5 minutes trying to figure out what it was supposed to be until I realized once I read the smaller package with the bolt and special nut. It worked great, no complaints, it's just the included picture confused me in the instructions.
Being a veterinarian, I think the hole size and coating on the step will help reduce dogs from catching their nails and causing injury. I'll give you feedback down the road but I think you have it just right. I really like the security of the riv-nuts instead of some step manufacturers who want you to use sheet metal screws. Takes a little bit more work but a better and more secure way of attaching the step to the tailgate. I also really like the shallow depth of the step when it is put away.
